Where do your best new ideas come from?

When we ask the creatives, they typically have a narrative around the question, even though there might be more to the picture than painted. To know, in part, we would have to observe them as they move through their world.

Great new ideas are curiously elusive beings. They emerge in the least likely places, from under conversational rocks and streaming out of the blue with meteoric predictability. There seems to be a clear relationship between learning and creativity. Learning means exposure to anything that feeds our curiosity, soul, imagination and connections with people and planet, our sense of past and future.

It's possible that people who expose themselves to more live with more questions than otherwise. The other secret to their learning is actively living these questions with exploring, searching, experimenting and living.  They practice an intentional bias for the new, unfamiliar and untried.
