dialogue without boundaries

Talking with a friend recently who is one of the more conversationally fluent and emotionally intelligent people I know who can't talk about politics or religion with his family because they are too incendiary and divisive.

When there are topics and questions that are too socially risky to navigate, conversations suffer from a lack of depth and dialogue. We would otherwise learn from one another and come away enriched rather than disengaged. Workplaces and education contexts are constrained by anemic cultures until people learn how to dialogue without boundaries.
