When education lives in smartphone denial

So many education systems, at all levels, continue to prepare students for a world without smartphones. Students are taught to associate their self-esteem with their ability to memorize what's in their phones. They are not being taught or rewarded for learning how to ask better questions, read and listen more efficiently and critically, and access and use new information more creatively and skillfully. They are still learning from the system perfectly designed for agrarian and industrial era contexts. Bizarre. And ultimately fixable.
