My Thrive@Work partner, Jen Margolis, and I facilitated a new learning experience on wellbeing as connection at an annual regional wellness conference.
Our approach takes a completely disruptive perspective. We're after growing new habits of happiness because happier people have a natural passion for taking care of themselves, and others. We're after teaching people intrinsically motivated habits, for no other reasons than we know how, and all the science argues that intrinsic motivation is ultimately more sustainable than extrinsic.
Anecdotally, we had a room of over 200 corporate wellness leaders confirming the strong positive correlation between happiness and wellbeing, both of which directly impact all manner of performance, cultural and strategic indicators.
