Job-stealing Immigrants

NPR's Adam Davidson writes about the large myths around job-stealing immigrants. According to nationalist folklore, every job taken by an immigrant is a job taken from an established citizen. If this was true, the same would be said for every job-pirate new graduate of every class.

The reality is that immigrants to communities become new consumers, building markets and economies rather than weakening them. They often bring complementary skills and perspectives. And they drive more market and job growth entrepreneurism than any other demography.
