Social integrity

When we interact together, in relationships and groups, from explicit agreements rather than implicit assumptions, we act with social integrity.

Implicit assumptions have many possible sources: assumptions we make about roles we play, rules imposed on us by others and personal expectations we feel justified to maintain. In each case, we are not interacting by explicit agreements we make together. When we act from mutually crafted agreements, we acting together with social integrity.

This has implications for any kinds of relationships, groups, networks, teams, organizations and communities even when they are politically, religiously or economically motivated.
