Reframing Passion

My work partner Jen Margolis describes passion as curiosity. It is a compelling construct when considering passion is how purpose is realized, purpose being what matters to us.

Passion as curiosity reflects the possibility of learning our way into our most desired sense of the future. With an intrinsically unknowable future, we learn rather than presume our way into the future.

About 90% of people worldwide work without passion. They work instead with compliance, tolerance and entitlement.  We would argue that this is because most leaders have not yet been exposed to the new science that focuses passion as curiosity. When they do, they will discover how possible it is to reverse this incredible percentage.
