A simple way to make vastly better collaborative decisions

Two simple rules can vastly simplify, enrich and accelerate decisions we make together.

1. Have everyone write every contribution on individual index cards

2. Any time things bog down, encourage everyone to propose a better question.

The practice of writing deepens the quality of thinking and listening. The freedom to shape better questions is vital because the quality of our decisions always equals the quality of the questions we work from. These practices are incredibly different in dynamics and results compared to business as usual verbal discussions, group recorders and staying attached to the original questions.
