Defining Happiness

Happiness is attention to what we like and love.

In the Happiness Trends survey, the happiest people on the planet report that their happiness is a function of focus.

Happiness comes about in the immediacy of welcoming it with present awareness. It's interesting to think of happiness not as something we cause but as something we welcome. Happiness emerges as guest in the gracious space we create in appreciation, generosity, interest, lightness, and easy.

Each practice of happiness is a different way of  welcoming happiness in the present. Happiness is a principle of intention with the power of  incantation. It's the simple act of listening to how joy wants to become realized in the flow of present moments.
