The reality of stretch goals

It's common to see senior leaders smugly or anxiously impose on their teams "stretch goals" with often zero additional resources, freedoms or support. People are just supposed to "figure it out."

Many relatively intelligent people wince at these goals, being realistic about the pace of unpredictable reactivity they will be required to manage and the time all of this would take from time available to work on stretch goals.

Stretch goals can have value of they're framed as intentional progress in any area of performance, interaction and learning.
