Time & The Difference Between Expressed and Embodied Values

Every organization has expressed and embodied values, the values people say they have and the ones they actually act on daily. One of the most accurate ways to assess embodied values is a quick tour of how people actually use their time.

It's always curious to us to hear people say they value certain kinds of change, like teaching people new habits of happiness, but can't give them time at work to do this learning. They will report sincerity of intentions, but they have little to no embodied value for these intentions. And people get that. Few people are confused about the embodied (authentic) values of the organization. All they have to do is to notice what they are given time to do.
