How much math do students (really) need?

Many schools still teach and test math in denial of the reality that about 5% of jobs require algebra or geometry. Combine this with the reality that we have phone apps that can solve just about any math problem.

Of course students will need learning in how to formulate math questions for expected personal and work life problems. Beyond that, we free up a boat load of time for other competencies that cannot be handled by apps.
