Community Engaged Investment

Community Engaged Investment is a business not as usual model for funding emergent community initiatives. It's a simple process.

People who want to propose new entrepreneurial projects participate in a workshop series where they learn the basics of entrepreneurship, prototyping and collaboration.

Participants craft proposals that represent prototyping new entrepreneurial projects.

A pool of funding is secured and each proposal group receives a proportional share of the total funding pool. For example if ten groups propose for a $100k pool, each group gets $10k.

Each group keeps 10% of their allotted share and invests the remainder (in any amounts) on any of the other projects of their choice.

After share investments are completed, any groups can join others to collaborate in shared projects and funding.
