It's easy to find human resource pieces written by 50-60 somethings about 20-30 somethings. There's all kinds of hand-wringing over talent attraction and retention, which for the younger set translates more into talent detraction and detention.
They are not inspired by organizations that want to lure them into the 90% of organizations that continue the dark ages of command and control cultures. They aren't incentivized to trade loyalty to an organization that would downsize in Snapchat time for career growth. If we want these next generations to find meaning in work, we have to build the cultures capable of doing just that.
