The Secret To The "A" Performers

A recent study indicates that worldwide, 97% of employees report their leaders still disengage them with a command and control approach. This creates an interesting question given that at the same time, over 70% of employees report feeling disengaged in their work.

I would argue that the margin of over 25% act with a sense of engagement directly in spite of their leader's inability to engage them. These are the "A" performers who who show every day owning their passion, strengths and happiness. Their internal locus of control makes them uninterested in leadership because they are confident they can act engaged however weak or strong the leadership is.
